March 26 is the day our nation found its voice. On this day in 1971, when darkness fell upon our land, the people of Bangladesh rose with courage and declared that we will be free. Major Ziaur Rahman’s bold words from Chittagong lit the flame of independence, and from that moment, the Liberation War began. It was the sacrifice of our farmers, workers, students, and soldiers. It was the blood of our martyrs. It was the unity of our people.
Today, on this sacred occasion, we are proud to announce the official online journey of Daily Padma. This platform will carry forward the spirit of March 26. Daily Padma will tell the stories of our people, amplify their struggles and dreams, and work for a future where independence means progress, justice, and unity.
