Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said the government will work to build the country that people want to see. He said this on Saturday (March 21) during a post-Eid press conference at the state guest house, Jamuna.
The Prime Minister remembered with respect those who died in 1971 and 2024. He said, “During this Eid, I pray to Allah so we can build the Bangladesh we hope for.” He asked for everyone’s help and unity, regardless of their political views, to develop the nation.
He also mentioned that if the people help, the government will try its best to build the country according to the people’s wishes.
Earlier that day, after performing the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers, the Prime Minister exchanged Eid greetings with people from all walks of life, including diplomats and teachers. The event started at 10:00 AM at Jamuna. He met with cabinet members, members of parliament, famous citizens, religious leaders, artists, and high-ranking military and civil officials.
After the meeting, the Prime Minister went to Sher-e-Bangla Nagar with his family. There, he visited and prayed at the graves of his father, late President Ziaur Rahman, and his mother, former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
